Have you found yourself training at home due to the COVID-19 outbreak? Chances are, if you’re now training at home, you’re going to have a lot of extra time on your hands. Think about it. You don’t have to drive to or from the gym and you were likely spending a lot of time loading and unloading machines at the gym as well.
Let’s assume that by working out at home and doing more minimalistic workouts, you’ll be saving 25 minutes. What do you do with this extra time you suddenly have on your hands? I would recommend you spend this time working on things to improve your health or performance that you’ve been putting off.
Here are some things that immediately come to mind:
Stretch
Foam roll
Rotator cuff exercises or other “prehab” exercises
Focus on lagging muscle groups
Run
Write out what you’re going to eat for the week
Write out what you’ll be doing in your training sessions
If you’re already checking all of those boxes and there are no other fitness related things you’ve been putting off, you could simply use the extra time to spend time with family, work on your hobby, or rest.
What will you use this extra time for? Let me know in the comments!
