Have you been searching for a body fat scale? There are so many out there that it can be a nightmare trying to decide which one is right for you, but don’t worry! In this post, I make that decision easy by taking a look at one of my favorites.

If you’ve seen my other reviews, you know it’s not often that I give high praise to a product; however, let me start by saying this scale is great. If you stumbled across this review and your only concern is whether or not the iDOO scale is good, congrats! You can stop here! If you want to learn more about the features of this scale, continue on.

Baby Mode

The main feature that makes this body fat scale unique is what Renpho Calls “baby mode”. In order to weigh your baby (or pet or whatever else you may want to weigh), simply:

  1. Enter baby mode.

  2. Step on the scale.

  3. Step off the scale.

  4. Pick up whatever it is you’re wanting to weigh.

  5. Step back on the scale.

The iDOO scale will automatically subtract your weight and give you the weight of whatever you’re holding. You can even save that weight under a new user if you’re wanting to track the weight of your baby or pet as they grow!

Pros

  • Baby mode is a unique and useful feature that I’ve not seen before.

  • The body fat tracking is as accurate as you could expect from a bioimpedance scale.

    • The athletic mode ensures that body fat tracking is accurate even for individuals with high levels of lean body mass and low levels of body fat.

  • Price (24.99 at the time of writing)

  • Connects with Google Fit and Fitbit

Cons

  • The scale is small, which might make it uncomfortable for those with wide hips to stand on.

  • Measurements aren’t color coded like with the Renpho Scale.

  • The app doesn’t play a chime to audibly let you know when the scale is done measuring like most other body fat scales do.

  • Doesn’t connect with Samsung Health.

As I said in the beginning, the iDOO scale is a great scale. If it weren’t for the fact that I’ve already been using the RENPHO scale for so long and have so many measurements logged on the RENPHO app, I would most likely continue to use the iDOO scale.
